Pioneering Innovation
As a luxury SUV, the Range Rover has long been lauded for what it brings to the table. Not only does it offer comfort for serious distances, but it can also handle the road less traveled when needed. Plus, the 2024 Range Rover offers seating for four, five, or seven passengers depending on the configuration. And that is good news for consumers who want a premium SUV that is still practical.
The 2024 Range Rover offers up to 606 horsepower, but those that want efficiency can opt for a plug-in hybrid model known as the P550e. That powertrain generates 542 hp thanks to its electric motor. And as you would expect from a Range Rover product, each Range Rover comes with AWD.
There are five trim levels available to this SUV, and they include:
- Range Rover P400 SE
- Range Rover P530 SE
- Range Rover P550e Autobiography
- Range Rover P530 Autobiography
- Range Rover P615 SV
It’s also worth noting that the new Range Rover is available in both short and long wheelbases, depending on your specific needs. The short wheelbase is 115 inches and the long wheelbase is 122.9 inches.
Is the Range Rover changing in 2024?
The 2024 Range Rover does have some changes when compared to the 2023 model. The top-of-the-line Range Rover SV model gets a 606-horsepower V8 engine. It is known as the P615.
Perhaps one of the more exciting updates is what’s being called the SV Bespoke service. This will allow Range Rover shoppers to nearly fully customize their SUV. And that is a reflection of the brand’s focus on luxury.
The fifth generation of the Range Rover might be fairly young, but the brand is committed to making improvements.
What engines does the 2024 Range Rover have?
The new Range Rover is available with four different engines. The base engine is a turbocharged inline-six that makes 395 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. For those on the hunt for the most powerful Range Rover engine, that will be the 4.4-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with its 606 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque.
The other two engines are:
- Twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 generating 523 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque
- 3.0-liter six-cylinder making 542 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque
Each engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission, and power is sent to all four wheels.
The new Range Rover benefits from active safety tech
Modern vehicles often benefit from active safety features, the 2024 Range Rover is no different. A number of different safety features are offered, including standard tech for added peace of mind. Standard safety features of this SUV include:
- Adaptive cruise control
- Lane-departure warning with lane-keep assist
- Automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection
Other safety features include the 3D Surround Camera. This advanced system of cameras provides drivers with a clear view around them to help with things such as parking. The available rear traffic monitor can also warn you of potential hazards as you reverse out of a parking space.
What are the trim levels of the 2024 Range Rover?
As an SUV, the 2024 Range Rover is offered in five different trim levels. Additionally, there are two wheelbases available. By opting for the long wheelbase, buyers gain access to a third row of seating. For those looking for a PHEV, the plug-in hybrid powertrain is limited to the Autobiography trim.
The top trim of this luxury SUV is the P615 SV trim. It is powered by a V8 engine, and despite having north of 600 hp, it is still focused on providing a comfortable driving experience.
